National Adult Literacy Database

This is the outline for a lesson aimed at helping learners familiarize themselves with computers. Objectives include identifying parts of a computer system; customizing the desktop; exploring accessories; and managing files.

The lesson plan includes a detailed description of specific learning tasks; an estimate of time needed for each task; and page references for the workbook that accompanies the lesson.

The lesson is designed to be presented over two and a half hours.
