Guide to Coordinating and Delivering Training for Employment Ontario Frontline Staff

Construction Zone Resource Binder

Authors: Cindy Davidson

Collection: Learning Materials

This guide is designed to assist regional literacy networks or other organizations interested in coordinating and implementing training for Employment Ontario (EO) agency staff in their regions. It was developed through a pilot project managed by Project READ Literacy Network Waterloo-Wellington in 2008.

The guide includes seven steps to coordination: develop a training plan; allocate specific training funds; designate a training coordinator; consult and work with stakeholders; design a training schedule; coordinate training sessions; and evaluate the training initiative.

Each step includes a checklist of activities; a re-cap of the Project READ experience; recommendations based on Project READ’s evaluation and experience; and templates developed by Project READ to carry out the activities.
