Shopping and Banking Safely Online

Series: Computer Literacy Workshops and Lesson Plans – CBAL

Authors: Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy

Collection: Learning Materials

This workshop presentation has been designed to help participants learn about online shopping; practise their shopping skills; and discover safe online practices.

The authors discuss types of online shopping, including window shopping by researching products; using online classified ads like Craigslist; buying goods or services through retail or business sites like Amazon or Air Canada; and buying or selling items on auction sites like eBay.

They have also included statistical information about online shopping and banking in Canada.

This computer series, developed by Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL), is published on Creative Commons, a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available to share legally.
