Series: Assessment Tools - HRSDC

Authors: Human Resources and Social Development Canada

Collection: Learning Materials

The numeracy indicator is a tool that can be used by employers to learn more about the numeracy skills of their employees and to identify current employees’ training needs. This indicator consists of ten questions that duplicate actual workplace tasks performed in a variety of occupations. The first five questions are easier (Level 1) and the next five are slightly more difficult (Level 2). The questions do not require specialized knowledge to be correctly answered. This document includes instructions for both employers and employees. A correction sheet and marking guide is also provided.
