This software is a fully bilingual authoring tool for the Internet and was created with financial support from the ministère de l'Éducation du Québec. It allows you to create five types of quizzes with up to 100 questions. The quizzes can contain pictures, videos and sound. Once you have created the quizzes on your computer, you can copy them to an Internet server for use over the Internet. If you don't have access to the Internet or you don't want to make your quizzes available over the Internet, then you can place copies of the quizzes onto the computers in your lab. Students can open the quizzes using Netscape or any other Internet browser.
This software is an excellent option for computer users who are unfamiliar or don't wish to bother with HTML. The software comes with an electronic 35 page guide that covers all of the information needed to use Netquiz, including system requirements, quiz construction information and a sample quiz. This curriculum unit is part of the New Brunswick Aboriginal Workplace Essential Skills (NBAWES) project, which was designed to help Aboriginal adults improve their literacy skills and their employability. Existing workplace Essential Skills curricula have been adapted to meet the needs of Mi’kmaq and Maliseet adult learners through culturally relevant content presented during a 34-week course.
This unit focuses on the Essential Skills of continuous learning, working with others, oral communication, and thinking skills. Program participants explore First Nations culture, tradition and history; acquire the tools to facilitate and strengthen lifelong learning; improve their ability to work and communicate effectively with others; and get the skills needed to make decisions and solve problems.
Some of the lessons have a specifically New Brunswick theme, including chapters about the province’s plant and animal life and the Aboriginal roots of many place names.
Other lessons focus on environmental issues; emotional intelligence; and the use of comedy improvisation to improve communication skills.

The New Brunswick Aboriginal Workplace Essential Skills (NBAWES) project was designed to help Aboriginal adults improve their literacy skills and their employability. It uses existing workplace Essential Skills curricula, adapted to meet the specific needs of Mi’kmaq and Maliseet adult learners.
This unit, subtitled “A Play in Four Dimensions,” calls on participants to become involved in the collective creation of a play incorporating any combination of words, music, dance, myths, legends, and stories. The goal is to promote the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions of personal development.
The authors set out the steps involved in the process, including generating a list of potential productions; selecting one option and focusing on its development; identifying the skills and talents necessary for the production; matching class members with the required skills and talents; and rehearsing and setting a production date.

In this unit, the focus is on writing in the workplace and the objective is to help learners acquire the skills involved in producing different types of business documents. Learning activities include following a procedure in writing a document; creating standard forms and filling out forms; designing and writing standard business documents; and distributing documents by using different methods of standard business communication.
The authors encourage instructors to acquire appropriate resource material from local sources.

The focus of this unit is personal wellness, which the authors describe as the result of conscious effort, good choices, and positive behaviours. Course participants explore personal wellness by examining mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and other forms of wellness.
Lesson plans deal with a variety of topics, including time management; budgeting; problem solving; positive thinking; and cardiac health. As well, the authors have included several articles dealing with medicine and the environment.

Participants are expected to manage purchases by acquiring the computational skills and the knowledge needed to make change; make various calculations involving purchases; and choose the best purchase option.
The authors have set out performance criteria for measuring success in meeting each of these objectives.
