National Adult Literacy Database

This is the second in a seven-book series called Changing Lanes, aimed at adult English as a Second Language (ESL) learners. Books in the series can also be used in a low-level ESL classroom as a supplementary reading and writing resource.

Each book deals with one or more life skills. For example, in "Farid Takes the Bus," the title character learns to use public transit to get around the city. In addition to reading material, each book contains learning activities.

While the books are similar in purpose and reading level, each can stand alone.

Books in the Changing Lanes have been aligned to the Canadian Language Benchmark ESL Literacy Phase 1 and 2.
