Series: Preparing for Technical Training: Essential Skills for Water/Wastewater Operators

This document provides an overview of a course designed to train people to work in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
The course consists of eight classes, each five hours in length. Course materials include a pre-assessment test, along with eight modules for the teacher to complete with learners.
The modules include a basic math refresher; fractions, decimals and percents; measurement conversions; linear, area and volume calculations; solving equations; chemical measurements; hydraulics; and wastewater and electricity.
