The Early Childhood Population Databases

Authors: Constance Milbrath, Jeren Balayeva, Buote Denise, Early Childhood Learning Knowledge Centre

This document offers an inventory of databases concerning children ages birth to six throughout the world.

The authors have included information from databases in English, French and Spanish. Information from countries that do not maintain database websites in any of those three languages has been included under global databases as part of what the country reports about young children to such international agencies as the World Health Organization.

Information has been organized into four categories: demographics and vital statistics; education and child care; health; and child welfare.
